Ten women walk out into a well lit room, in front of a panel of four industry judges. The women are all wearing very basic but conservative white briefs and bras, and all look a little self-conscious. They will now live together until the end of the competition. Over the ensuing weeks they are gradually whittled down so one lucky winner remains, to receive the long-awaited prize from the judges. These unlucky few are removed from the running - returning home to live in ignominy and shame - by various tasks, intended to tax the personality and ingenuity of all the women to the full. When one woman remains, victorious, she can step forward and claim her prize.

A televised session of baseball and softball bats, iron bars, and lump hammers applied to her body, rendering her quadriplegic. She then lives (uncomfortably) off the combined earnings of her disability allowance and the pension generously donated by the television company, for the rest of her life.

The font of wisdom that is Ulysses Everitt McGill
"Deceitful, two-faced she-woman. Never trust a female Delmar, remember that one simple precept and your time with me will not have been ill spent."
"Ok, Everett."
"Hit by a train! Truth means nothing to a woman, Delmar. Trying for the subjective. You ever been with a woman?"
"Well, I... I... I gotta get the family farm back before I can start thinking about that."
"That's right, if then. Believe me Delmar, woman is the most fiendish instrument of torture ever devised to bedevil the days of man."

I do love this film so.

I really should get to bed.

Just when you think your out
They suck you right back in. So I got bullied back into WoW by a very persistant Phil, so no point asking what I did all weekend. Essentially I walked around hitting things with things. Very theraputic really. Funny thing is when I left WoW the guild was half empty, no one was ever on and it was like a wasteland. Now PXT is booming they're all never off and theres people on at any time of the day or night. Truth is they just missed Krungar cause he's the prettiest Orc they ever saw, with eyes of blue, like the sky after a storm :P

He really is the prettiest damn Orc i ever saw )

There was other more substantial stuff I was going to post about, work/money/going to lunch with the guys yesterday/complex introspective stuff about accepting what life gives you and the immunity to harm not really caring gives you.

But instead, have a photo of Krungar sitting in a catapult... )

I think that usually emotion related to music is actually triggered by memory, but I have no memories associated with Barbers Adagio for Strings, so it's just the music itself that causes me to plummet. But it's so beautiful that I have to play from time to time, it regardless. And I admit that it's William Orbits rendition that I choose.
