Pick six qualities, find a quote about that quality you like or that you feels applies
to your life and then write a little about your thoughts/feelings/opinions on it.

... yes i am that bored and thinking too much for 1:05am

Self-Control
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own.
No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is
yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality
of it. This is the day your life really begins.
~Bob Moawad

Something that escapes me so easily, yet takes me months and sometimes years
to reel back in. Sometimes all thats needed is a gentle slap from your a friend to
make you reilise thats its snuck off again when you wheren't looking.

Confidence
It took me a long time not to judge myself through someone else's eyes.
~Sally Field

Again, its easy to lose sight of. We can't judge ourselves through the perceptions
of others, we need to know ourselves and our own strengths and weaknesses.
Knowleadge of self can bring confidence, but often i find the no one is ever as
critical as we ourselves are of our own strengths, weaknesses and behaviours.

Jealousy
Never waste jealousy on a real man: it is the imaginary man that supplants
us all in the long run.
~George Bernard Shaw

heh, i like this one.

Honesty
If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything.
~Mark Twain

Most people don't like the truth, because its not always a nice comftable arrangement
but its often worth the bruised egos, avoids confusion and of course means you don't
have to lie.

Friendship
Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty.
~Sicilian Proverb

Yup, they will, they do ... and will possibly slag the shit out of you at the same time about
it ... but all in good humour of course.

Confrontation
Understanding is reached only after confrontation.
~Miss Ivannah - Mallrats

I always liked this, basically you can dance around things forever but where does that
actually get you. I had a year of confronting issues I had had, and then I had it easy for
a year or so, I wonder if i've grown complacent and its maybe not time to track down
some more stuff i need to sort out and stand toe to toe with it, after all for resolution to
occur you need to understand the cause that means looking it in the eyes (psychologically
speaking). Sometimes doing so can hurt and be frightening but without experincing and
understanding it can't be resolved.

(these opinions are mine and you don't have to agree)

now i've been awake from 3am with only 1 1/2 hours sleep and the internet has fecking
borked again, might as well get up, do my morning exersises, drink coffe pack the bike
and go to work an hour early today as well. At least there I'll have internet (maybe do
some more job searching in Leeds). If i get the job in York I might consider living in leeds
anyway spent the last few hours looking at houseshares and houses/flats. Houseshares
are very good (apart from the strangers) but financially it makes sense (esspecially if
i get the york job and take an 8k paycut). I'd say living on your own has benefits but I
haven't been living on my own for over ... a lot of months, and i'm still not because johns
still here so maybe I could share again. What worries me are the rental prices of some of the
houses in Leeds, might indicitive of a bad area? Although there was a two bedroom house
at Ashton View for £475.00 per month which is what I am paying here roughly and that
always seemed like a fairly nice area when I've been visiting.

Still not made any decisions, but I think I am going to actively start looking for a new job
probabaly based around Derbyshire, up through chesterfield, sheffield and onwards
to Leeds. I wouldn't normally consider York as it seems a bit small for my tastes but the
job there sounds great if i can get it.

Anyway on to work, and then ... WOOLSTOCK!!! Party on dudes :)

Well I am feling much better today, a suprisingly sound nights sleep and then
first thing in work i orginised a half day and a loan from work. With that half day
I got and orginised all the paper work and documents that where needed and
then jumped on the bikes and we headed up to Glenfield to the estate agents.

He seems quite confident that it won't be any problem getting us in. I also talked
to the Queen Street Management Company and they have generously agreed
to extend our lease by yet another week meaning we move on the 8th and giving
us some more breathing room. I am viewing flats here just in case it all goes
arse over tit so I have a back up.

We popped over to where the house is in Glenfield and its a bit out of town but
its a very nice suburban, residential area. Glenfield does appear to be a very
strange place, its like a small town in the city and the kind of setting you expect
to have a real life postman pat and his black and white cat sort of thing.

Feeling we should do something fun with the day we popped up to coalville and
after much searching found the Old Vic (the biker pub we'd sen advertised) which
was closed and then we zoomed back townwards for work out with chewie which
was very difficult and i can feel it. Did a little work and ran out of time once again.

so much to do so little time, damn it but it feels like there is so much less stress.

Do you like cuddling?
very much

17. Do you hold grudges?
not really its a waste of time and energy

18. Do you regret dating anyone?
There have t

19. Hugger or kisser?
depends on my mood

20. Missing someone?
nah

21. Most important lesson you've learned from dating?
When you fall in love, generally you will always get hurt in some fashion.

23. Are you happier single or in a relationship?
I really can't say tbh, I don't have a great deal for conparision

24. Whats the most important thing in a relationship?
Honesty, nothing works without it and with it the relationship might end but at least there is the chance of respecting their honesty.

25. What would make you break up w/ someone...no questions asked?
Cheating, been on the receiving end too many time for it not to be.

26. Have you ever loved someone who didn't love you back?
Yes, a couple of times.

28. How important are looks?
beauty is in the eye of the beholder

29. How do you know when you are in love?
you just know

30. Do you consider yourself shy?
sometimes, it can depend

31. Would you rather date someone who was SUPER-HOT or someone who was SUPER-NICE?
*shrug* its generally not that simple

32. Have you ever been turned down or turned someone down?
many many times on both.

33. Have you ever been ashamed of anyone you were dating?
not really, though sometimes after i've wondered why i did it.

34. Do you currently want to date anyone?
Anyone specific no, I don't think I am capable or have it in me to want to atm.

35. Thing that made you the happiest today?
playing see it with the family.

36. Would you ever date anyone your parents disapproved of?
I have done but both we and they know that my stupid decisions are my own.

37. Do you stay friends w/ the people you date?
Generally yes, why wouldn't I, I like them enough to date them why wouldn't i be friends with them?

39. Would you fight over someone you wanted to be with?
I've never understood the concept, either someone wants to be with you or they don't why would fighting over them come into it, fighting for them, to keep them maybe but again my brain does process that very well.

40. Do you kiss on the 1st date?
If I like them yes, though it depends on the person and the situation.

41. Would you date someone A LOT older or younger than you?
Older yes, done younger and it can be like being a nursemaid, but never rule anything out

42. Does the person you currently like know you like them?
I generally tell people these things, but again my heads complicated atm so their is like and like.

43. Ever been cheated on?
More time than I care to keep track of, count and total.

44. Do you think the word 'love' is overused?
I used to be reasonably free with it to express how i felt, then I became cynical and used it sparingly ... recently I think its a strong term to use unless your sure it applies and even then the person might not understand.

45. Ever been called a whore?
not in memory.

47. If someone cheated on you, would you take them back if you really loved them?
have done in the past, not sure its a great idea but I would likely do it again ... I think.

49. Favorite ex?
its not a popularity contest you know.

50. Wanna date any of your ex's?
Maybe I have dated some bloody smashing girls, some nutters too its true, but I don't know the past is the past for a reason so I'd say its unlikely.

Congestion Charging in the English Counties (And the Inclusion of Motorbikes)

There have been a few articles in MCN (Motorcycle News) recently about the proposed plans for the expansion of
The current congestion Charge scheme that is in place in London. Most of the Englandshire
boroughs have stated That Motorcycles will not be excluded from
Congestion charges. Now Apart from the standard arguement that
I've heard (which is very valid I might add) that Motorcycles cause less
congestion in the city due to being smaller and producing less polution,
But thats not my main grump about this proposed plan.

I have been commuting by public transport all of my adult life, And the simple
fact is that the public transport service in the Uk is a joke (and not a very
funny one at that). Not with the privitasation of the public transport services
the local authorities are no longer responsable for for providing public transport,
so now effectively what they are saying is that they want to charge everyone
for driving into certian zones to help ease congestion. The point that is being
failed to be addressed is that the public transport service is a joke, I am regularly
left standing at a bus stop franticly waving my arms trying to flag down a bus
driver who blatently not interested in stopping, the main line between Nottingham
and Birmingham has had replacement coach services for the past 3-4 years (and
generally still does) so In light of this spectacular failing I buy a bike just to be
told I am going to be charged for riding it in congestion hot zones ... like the city
centre (where I happen to live).

So this is where my main gripe is they are going to introduce congestion charging
outside London in an attempt to get people using public transport (which is
appauling) and of course the are not trying to provide a suitable alternitive, In
fact I have had problems with Arriva up and down the country and when my
complaints have been taken to my Local MP they have basically said there is nothing
they can do because its a private company! So this basically means that because
the public transport company is a privately owned venture, I have to put up with
a terrible service (because when I have complained to Arriva they don't give a rats
arse) and now the council that wants to introduce congestion charging through
England basically denys any responsibility for public transport! so how does that
work then?

Now fair enough (might not be a popular argument) but londons transport network
is actually pretty good and with a decent public transport system maybe it would
work, but apart from London the only other underground trains are in Glasgow. So
I am faced with a decision, a 45 minute to 1 1/2 Hour journey on a bus that regulary
drives past leaving passenger irritated at bus stops and for this dubious pleasure I
also get to pay over-inflated and raising bus fares to get driven past at the bus stop,
or I buy a motor verchile and pay the congestion charge and get to work in 10 minutes.
Personally I don't think it should just be Bikers objecting to the new congestion charge
areas, I personally think car drivers should be too. hich brings me to my next point,
bearing in mind that the goverment don't provide a suitable transport alternitive, where
is the money going to go? How will it be spent? I feel it should be spent on Government
funded public transport ... but wait there isn't any! so do they invest in the current
transport services? Well they have already tried throwing money at british rail and
fat lot of good thats done, it probabaly helps some fat public transport executive
arsehole pay for the new wing on his but fat house but I very muchy doubt it will make
the buses run on time. I made a joke a few years back that the Goverment doesn't
want people travelling for various reasons and these days with stupid schemes like
these it makes me wonder if there is some creedance to these thoughts of mine. I
think its ludicrious, who's bloody country is this anyway huh? I say NO to congestion
charges.

On the 20th of October I am going to London and I am going to Join in the ride against
Bikes being charged In the Congestion Legislation, I am also going to write to my Local
MP and make these points and I'll be honest Bikers and Car Drivers alike should be doing
the same. The might be the Goverment but we are the people who vote these assholes
in, its our country and we damn well live here too ... so yes I am going to make my
Voice and my Motorbike Heard.

Well I set off in rush hour traffic (yeah not the best timing) went on another
mini adventure around Leicester. but after 40 Minuties of slow traffic finally
hit the open road (dual carriage way) and let the bike out a bit. All my driving
so far has been city driving so its been 3rd gear and 30 mph (yes I follow the
speed limits quite stridently) so it was nice to see what it can do. Up in 4th it
seems it can do roughly about 63 ish mph (its analogue and quite hard to be
precise) which is what I had expected for a 125 that heavy. Stopped in at
axy666's place for a coffee (found my way there without even trying) and the
after an hour headed back (not wanting to be driving too long at night). I
did get a little confused leaving nottingham and might have toured west
bridgford and ended up taking the wrong road which was fine (there is no
such thing as a wrong turn on a bike, it just means you get to pootle about
a little longer) it was a pleasant ride back and the roads where dead which
was good for me as I got a reasonably quiet and fun ride. I want to get
someone who knows a bit more about bikes to have a look at mine and
just put my mind at ease that its okay as people kept indicating there might
be a problem but when I stopped at the garage en-route I couldn't see
anything, and when stopped at the lights after I got back someone squirted
me with water pistols at the lights from a nearby car? bizzare. It was a very
good outing but my bums a little soar. So 4 1/2 hours (one hour break at
axy666's place) much fun :)

Well I had a little bit of a tumble this morning, I took the

wrong lane on the central ring road and had a mini adventure

resulting in my approaching a set of traffic lights in the

city centre about 7:20am. It was a little wet and while

slowing at the traffic light I skidded a little but recovered.

Unfortunatly, My motorcycle luggage that I got last night from

freecycle had slipped down (obviously not secure enough) and

that whole combination pulled the bike down.

Fortunatly I was going very slow in first gear so it litterly

just fell over but both rider and bike where fine, picked it

up and assured pedestrians that I was okay and rode off. I think

I now understand the in's and outs of the clutch so no more

stalling (we'll see on the way home) once I understood I didn't

stall on the way in.
