Great ...
now i've been awake from 3am with only 1 1/2 hours sleep and the internet has fecking
borked again, might as well get up, do my morning exersises, drink coffe pack the bike
and go to work an hour early today as well. At least there I'll have internet (maybe do
some more job searching in Leeds). If i get the job in York I might consider living in leeds
anyway spent the last few hours looking at houseshares and houses/flats. Houseshares
are very good (apart from the strangers) but financially it makes sense (esspecially if
i get the york job and take an 8k paycut). I'd say living on your own has benefits but I
haven't been living on my own for over ... a lot of months, and i'm still not because johns
still here so maybe I could share again. What worries me are the rental prices of some of the
houses in Leeds, might indicitive of a bad area? Although there was a two bedroom house
at Ashton View for £475.00 per month which is what I am paying here roughly and that
always seemed like a fairly nice area when I've been visiting.

Still not made any decisions, but I think I am going to actively start looking for a new job
probabaly based around Derbyshire, up through chesterfield, sheffield and onwards
to Leeds. I wouldn't normally consider York as it seems a bit small for my tastes but the
job there sounds great if i can get it.

Anyway on to work, and then ... WOOLSTOCK!!! Party on dudes :)

Whitby
Well, got back from whitby last night at around 16:00 hours roughly, ate some Kentucky Fried
Chicken and failed at chatting online and promptly hits the sack at 8pm woke up at midnight
and went right back to sleep and then finally arose today at about 9am. so roughly 12-13 hours
sleep. I feel significantly less shitty now.

Whitby was full of fun and games and as usual I could expouse a long list of people I seen
there and a blow by blow account of what happened but I won't. So highs and lows.

High Points

Me and Chewie utterly failing to have a half of coke and hit the gym and instead having 6 pints
and taking our luggage to our respective cottages so we could drink more.

Running up the 199 steps of the abbey as training 4 times.

80's night including [info]bikerfaerie's fantastic Barbarella Costume and of course chewie
as pygar.

Maffball Super Extreme - One reason to actually wear pants, as its is played in underpants I may
have had to borrow some in order to qualify to play. Hence the Maffball Super Extreme Battlepants
came into play. I am still toasty in places but I feel that your maffballs cannot burn me my
bodyhair is like a shield of ... well ... bodyhair. Videos of Maffball.

Meeting up with people not seen in ages and lots of people from far and wide.

The Melee that is breakfast in our cottage (pure comedy every morning)

Making fun of someone for Exorsist Style Vomiting at 4:30am.

Low Points

Being ill as buggery on saturday.

cleaning up someone elses Exorsist Style Vomit at 4:30am.

Running up the 199 Abbey Steps 4 times (that shits hard work).

Drinking a little too much and having vauge memories of the weekend.

I am sure more stuff happened but i can't remember what it is ;)

busy
Well I am feling much better today, a suprisingly sound nights sleep and then
first thing in work i orginised a half day and a loan from work. With that half day
I got and orginised all the paper work and documents that where needed and
then jumped on the bikes and we headed up to Glenfield to the estate agents.

He seems quite confident that it won't be any problem getting us in. I also talked
to the Queen Street Management Company and they have generously agreed
to extend our lease by yet another week meaning we move on the 8th and giving
us some more breathing room. I am viewing flats here just in case it all goes
arse over tit so I have a back up.

We popped over to where the house is in Glenfield and its a bit out of town but
its a very nice suburban, residential area. Glenfield does appear to be a very
strange place, its like a small town in the city and the kind of setting you expect
to have a real life postman pat and his black and white cat sort of thing.

Feeling we should do something fun with the day we popped up to coalville and
after much searching found the Old Vic (the biker pub we'd sen advertised) which
was closed and then we zoomed back townwards for work out with chewie which
was very difficult and i can feel it. Did a little work and ran out of time once again.

so much to do so little time, damn it but it feels like there is so much less stress.

Leeds, 12th of January at the Subculture in Leeds for Transsmission

see for more information: http://www.transmission-leeds.com/

I will be celebrating my Birthday in Leeds at the Subculture and due to a stunning chain
of events I shall be intending to spend this birthday in a way I've never done before ...
stone cold sober. To this end if you feel like coming along and helping keep the drunken
mayhem to a resectable level in my state of alcaholic chastity (or if you just want to be
there to laugh at me if I fail) I'll see you there for me turning the ripe old age fun age
of 28E and please the statement below!

Fuzzys in the Subculture may appear drunker than they are!

Brief Christmas Update
Well Santa popped in and dropped of Gift vouchers(the green folding
ones that any shop accepts), it was all in all a rather quiet and
sedate affair (compared to normal) I am left trying to decide if I
should buy leathers or wait till my birthday and add it to my
birthday money and do my direct access? decisions.

We went shopping today, and later I will be going to the Rufas T
Firefly regulars party with my brother. More shopping ostensibably
for new leathers tomorrow (strangely buying stuff from Heine Gerik
seems to be the cheapest and most cost effective) and after that
its packing to go back down south to leicester.

need to get up to john and sues for the 30th as I am on call on the
31st till 5pm so depending what people are doing I might work out
alternitive arrangements.

"She may not look like much kid! ... But shes got it where it counts"
She won't make 0.5 past Lightspeed (hell she grumbles about 63 mph) and I haven't made a lot of
special modifications myself, and is a bit lacking in both turret mounted quad cannons and defector
sheilds (which would be handy on the road) and I definatly won't be smuggling anything in it.

My Bike (Centry Five) A few people will get why its called that (Gratuitous Photographs) )

Bike HO! Nottingham HO!
Well I set off in rush hour traffic (yeah not the best timing) went on another
mini adventure around Leicester. but after 40 Minuties of slow traffic finally
hit the open road (dual carriage way) and let the bike out a bit. All my driving
so far has been city driving so its been 3rd gear and 30 mph (yes I follow the
speed limits quite stridently) so it was nice to see what it can do. Up in 4th it
seems it can do roughly about 63 ish mph (its analogue and quite hard to be
precise) which is what I had expected for a 125 that heavy. Stopped in at
axy666's place for a coffee (found my way there without even trying) and the
after an hour headed back (not wanting to be driving too long at night). I
did get a little confused leaving nottingham and might have toured west
bridgford and ended up taking the wrong road which was fine (there is no
such thing as a wrong turn on a bike, it just means you get to pootle about
a little longer) it was a pleasant ride back and the roads where dead which
was good for me as I got a reasonably quiet and fun ride. I want to get
someone who knows a bit more about bikes to have a look at mine and
just put my mind at ease that its okay as people kept indicating there might
be a problem but when I stopped at the garage en-route I couldn't see
anything, and when stopped at the lights after I got back someone squirted
me with water pistols at the lights from a nearby car? bizzare. It was a very
good outing but my bums a little soar. So 4 1/2 hours (one hour break at
axy666's place) much fun :)
